A manufacturer of offshore drilling tools was looking for a better way to print part…
A manufacturer of specialty automotive fuel injectors needed a system to permanently mark their plastic exhaust filters. The marking consists of an alphanumeric date code for internal tracking and quality control purposes.
The black nylon parts are made in small batches, so a manual-load marking station was suitable for their needs. They chose an ARENA marking workstation with a nanoVIS laser from Pannier. The operator manually places the part into a fixture, then uses a two-hand button control to close the safety door and begin the marking cycle. After marking, the door automatically opens so the next part can be loaded. The nanoVIS engraves the date code in only 2 seconds, which makes the marking process fast and efficient.
