A manufacturer of high performance tires uses an automated printing station to print colored stripes…
Membrane roofing material is commonly printed with lines to indicate where the material should be cut or overlapped for proper installation.
A roofing product manufacturer had been using small flexographic code printers to print these lines, but keeping ink levels maintained in the printers was difficult in a high-volume production environment.
Working with Pannier Corporation, they upgraded to a spray marking system. Several spray marking heads are connected to a single ink supply manifold, making ink level management much easier. Heads can be easily repositioned when running different material widths.
Cleaning and maintenance at the end of a shift is also much easier with the spray system. It includes an automated flushing feature to keep the heads clean and free of stray fibers, ensuring easy shut-down and start-up.
