Ink Jet Printing on Rubber Compound

A tire manufacturer was looking for a more accurate and automated way to identify extruded rubber compound. The Rubber Printing System from Pannier was able to print recipe codes, date and time codes, and 2D data matrix codes for tracking.

Several colors of ink were tested to see how visible the printing was after being covered in anti-tack coating. The 2D code allows the operator to scan the code and automatically verify that the correct material is used in the tire.
