Robust performance and connectivity with the Titan Controller

The Titan platform allows several print heads to be managed from a single controller. The controller’s built-in ports make it fast and easy to connect print heads, print trigger devices, and peripherals such as a keyboard or bar code scanner.

Design your print templates and configure your communication preferences on the screen on the plant floor or remotely via VNC. Explore Titan’s various data entry and communication options.

Frequently Asked Questions

REA JET DOD ink jet systems are specifically designed for industrial use with IP65 rated protection from dust and water splashes. All components can be swapped and serviced individually for maximum system uptime.

Periods of idle time have the potential to cause ink to dry or build up in a printer’s components. To prevent these issues, REA JET DOD systems have built-in ink recirculation, system flushing, and print head purging features.

If print heads have not printed for a long time, the first dots may print unevenly due to dried ink drying in the nozzle area. Factors such as ambient temperature, mark frequency, and ink type can affect drying times for each individual installation.

The TITAN controller features a “boxmark” function that prints dots from all the nozzles, thereby purging ink from the print head. Parameters allow you to adjust the idle time, number of dots to print, and print delay for optimal performance. When boxmark is activated, the dot pattern will also be printed once after switching on the device before the first marking.

As with all ink jet systems, regular maintenance is needed to keep printers in good operating condition. A combination of simple daily tasks combined with weekly and monthly maintenance procedures are recommended. To help ensure your printing success, Pannier offers a library of technical support materials and training on recommended maintenance activities.

Print heads can be oriented in any direction to print on the top, side, or bottom of your product. When heads are oriented upside-down, ink and debris will be more likely to build up on the face of the print head, requiring more frequent cleaning.

Factors to consider when choosing print heads include overall message size, desired resolution of characters and logos, and how much space is available for installation on the production line.

Compare REA JET print heads.

REA JET ink jet systems print with many types of inks for marking metals, plastics, and porous surfaces, as well as these specialized inks:

  • Pigmented inks for high-contrast colored marks
  • High-temperature inks
  • Inks for metal surfaces with oil or scale
  • Rubber-based inks for printing on rubber and tire components

Explore inks for DOD ink jet systems.

Each REA JET printing ink is specially formulated and tested to work with a compatible REA JET system. Therefore, REA JET systems are warranted for use only with REA JET inks and solvents. While the systems may work with other inks or fluids, we cannot provide support for these applications.

TITAN controllers can operate multiple print heads at the same time. Print heads can be combined in groups with their own separate ink supply units, allowing the use of more than one color of ink for these separate head groups.

It is possible to change the color of ink in a single ink supply unit. The system would need to be completely flushed to eliminate mixing of colors.
