Supreme-Safe™ Type Holders are designed with safety in mind. A long wooden handle keeps workers’ hands clear of the impact area to reduce the chance of injuries. Use large character type to stamp part numbers, date codes, and lot codes in one impact.
- Mark hot or cold metals, wood, or other hard materials
- Stamp one or two lines of characters up to 1/2″ tall
Each Supreme-Safe™ holder is custom-made to suit your particular marking requirements. Holders can be made as a solid piece or with replaceable striking heads and anvils for longer life. They can be used two different ways to make a mark:
Hammer Style marking
Place the holder in the desired position and strike the back with an engineer’s hammer or small sledge hammer.
Axe Style marking
Swing the holder like an axe (no hammer needed) to make a mark.

Supreme-Safe™ character type can be supplied as individual characters, multi-character messages, or engraved with custom logos/symbols. Typical character sizes are 1/4″, 3/8″, 5/16″, 5/8″, and 1/2″ tall.
