A pump manufacturer was looking for a better way to mark their products. They had been using hand stamps to mark part numbers on cast iron pump housings. This method was time-consuming and they wanted a faster and safer way to make the marks.

Pannier Mark-First™ presses were installed to automate the process. Custom character holders were manufactured to ensure the right fit in the recessed area of the part. Part numbers and date codes remain the same for each lot, so the time needed to change characters is minimal.
